South Tyrol is the northest Region of Italy. Best known wine is the Weissburgunder/ Pinot Bianco. A known manufactor is the Cantina Bolzano/ Kellerei Bozen.
Veneto is one of the biggest wine cultivation regions. The best known white wines are Pinot Grigio or also the Breganze di Breganze. Known manufacturers are, Maculan, Cavazza and the Cantina Colli Euganei.
Friuli is the most northern wine cultivation region and borders on Austria and Slovenia. There great white wines originate like Pinot Grigio Collio, Ribolla gialla Collio or also Braide Mate Chardonnay Collio. One of the biggest and best known producers is the Azienda Livon.
Lombardy the very different wines which are directed very much after the regional kitchen are grown here. The probably best known white wine from Lombardy is of the Lugana. One of the best producers is here Provenza.
Piedmont, with the known white wines quite clearly of the Gavi di Gavi and the Roero Arneis which originates in one of the smallest areas DOCG to call only some. Known manufacturers are Marco Bonfante, Vitivinicola Broglia and La Scolca.
Tuscany, a region in ordinarily more red wine is produced. But also the white wines do not need to hide, like the Vernaccia, Poggio Argentato or also of the Pomino Bianco. Known producers are Le Pupille, Marchesi de'Frescobaldi or also Signano.
The region Marche offers white wines of good price-performance ratio. The probably best known one is quite clearly of the Verdicchio. Known producers are Terre Cortesi Moncaro and Garofoli.
Latium, is famous for Rome and for Frascati. Confessed for good wines is here Fontana Candida.
The Abruzzo, fascinate by a very good price-performance ratio with the white wines, like the Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Chardonnay Terre di Chieti or also the Pecorino Terre di Chieti. A big and known producer is here the Cantina Spinelli in Atessa and the Cantina Tollo which has booked the 1st place of 20 best Winerys of Italy this year.
Apulia in the south is known by his great red wines, but also we have a nice white wine, the Luna Bianco. One the top addresses in Apulia Conti Zecca in Leverano.
Calabria is the oldest wine region of Italy. There the Greeks had already grown wine. There produced primarily red wines. But also the white wines are great, like the Critone Bianco and the Ciró Bianco. Very much known for great wines is Librandi.
Sicily is the biggest wine cultivation region of Italy and fascinates during the last years by very much, very good wines they become more and more popular what is valid for red like white wines. Here are known Leone d'Almerita, Regaleali Bianco, Inzolia and the Chardonnay very much. The vineyard of the counts of Tasca d'Almerita is probably the top producer from Sicily, but also smaller like Pollara and Donnafugata
Sardinia is known for his Cannonau, but also for the Vermentino di Sardegna. Manufacturer for good Weißeine is here Attilio Contini, in Cabras.

The Pinot Grigio grape (in Germany grey Burgundians) is a white grpa type, although the skin of the berries colours reddish.
