The richness of the fruit radiates through to the long, polished finish. The 2007 Saffredi impresses for its fabulous balance and soft, enveloping personality. It is another superb effort from proprietor Elisabetta Geppetti. Saffredi is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Alicante. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027. - Elisabetta Geppetti is doing just about everything right at Le Pupille. A massive tasting of 30 wines going back to 1987 found a number of older vintages in great shape and a signficiant rise in quality starting around 2000 that continues to the present.
